Health Technology Forum
Introducing the
Health Technology Forum
Dallas/Fort Worth
I became involved in the Health Technology Forum’s Dallas chapter because of my passion for technology and it’s use in improving patient care. The industry has come a long way, but there is tremendous progress to be made. This progress will only occur and accelerate if we facilitate the interaction between technologist and entrepreneur – and do it locally.
So when founder Pronoy Saha decided to bring this Forum to other cities and chose Dallas as the first stop on the list, of course I wanted to know how I could help…
I am very excited to introduce to you the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter of the Health Technology Forum. With over 2,200 members in the original Silicon Valley chapter, the group there averages 150 members per meeting. Dallas is the first chapter outside of Silicon Valley, starting in August 2012. Led by Pronoy’s infectious enthusiasm, chapters in San Diego, New York City, London, Atlanta and Toronto have followed suit and now globally the group has over 2,600 members.
At these completely FREE monthly meetups, we discuss real-life technology use-cases from hospitals, physician clinics, medical billing, insurance, remote monitoring, health and wellness, and various patient-care services. Subject matter experts, users, entrepreneurs, regulators, and providers will address each other’s needs and solutions. The objective is to connect entrepreneurs with professionals who are addressing these real-life problems that exist today in the healthcare ecosystem. We will also review how low-cost, scalable, deployable systems can meet or exceed the needs of 21st century care-giving.
The D/FW chapter monthly events have been hosted by IBM at their Innovation Center in Dallas near LBJ and Stemmons. Food and refreshments are provided.
Besides the physical meetups, we have tweet chats as well as web streams of the chapter events.
We would be very grateful if you would help us grow our membership by forwarding this page to any of your colleagues, students, partners etc. who may be interested in this exciting new Forum. We are interested in growing the membership, finding sponsors interested in accessing this demographic and accessing subject matter experts. Please contact me if you would like to get involved.
